Initial issues
- Develop a new digital engagement channel, integrated with ticketing and CRM.
- Streamline the visitor experience at the museum entrance and during events.
- Make membership cards easier to access in digital format, particularly for the under-27 membership.
Deployed solution
With The Wallet Crew's support, Pinault Collection deployed digital tickets and membership cards in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, delivering a modernised visitor experience from end to end.
- Event tickets : available in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for all events, concerts, performances and screenings in the programme.
- Visit passes : fast, secure access to exhibitions via QR code in the wallet — no printing, no dedicated app required.
- Super Cercle membership card : membership card digitalised directly in the wallet, with particular attention given to the under-27 membership.
- Launch timed with a major exhibition : the wallet rollout was initiated alongside the Fujiko Nakaya installation in the Rotunda, maximising visibility and adoption from day one.
Results
- 50,100 passes created since the wallet launch.
- 30,400 passes installed in June, at the time of the Fujiko Nakaya installation in the Rotunda.
- Strong adoption from launch, driven by communication around a major exhibition.
- Streamlined visitor experience at the museum entrance and during events.
Key benefits
- New digital engagement channel directly connected to CRM and ticketing.
- Modernised, frictionless visitor experience at entry points.
- Digitalised membership cards — more accessible and always available on the visitor's phone.
- Consistent with the cultural and digital identity of Pinault Collection.
Future Perspectives
Activate push notifications to engage visitors before, during and after their visit — upcoming exhibitions, programme events, exclusive invitations for members. Deploy gift vouchers directly in the wallet to promote the gift card offering.
"The wallet allows us to support our audiences at every stage of the visitor journey and to create a direct digital connection, integrated into our ticketing and CRM ecosystem. Its rapid adoption confirms visitors' appetite for simplified and personalised cultural experiences."
